The “Toscana Gran Tour – Way Point Trophy” is a 2-stage ‘Adventouring’ sports tourism event, taking place 70% of the time off-road and 30% on asphalt through the enchanting scenery of the Tuscan region. 2 categories to be chosen by participants: “Adventouring” o “Way Point Trophy”. The protagonist of this new adventure will be the Maremma, once the land of butteri, malaria and brigands, and in recent years, also of motorbike adventurers! The Toscana Gran Tour will take place mainly in central Tuscany, between the provinces of Grosseto and Siena. The epicentre of the event will be Follonica, a town with a tourist vocation that overlooks the Tuscan Archipelago. Departure and arrival in Margherita for the two days. We will reach the Chianti and Morellino area on one day, while on the other, we will push on to the outskirts of Siena.

ADMITTED RIDERS

For both the “Adventouring” category and the “Way Point Trophy” category, all persons (foreigners
too) registered with an Italian motorbike club, in possession of the AICS Promo Fuoristrada card for the current year and in possession of a valid driving licence for the registered motorbike are admitted. A medical certificate of “good health to practice sports issued by a general practitioner is
also required for the WPT category.

For foreign riders, it is compulsory to be a member of an Italian motorbike club affiliated with the Italian Motorcycle Federation (FMI), to be in possession of the “Member" card together with a medical certificate of “good health to practice sports" in original, valid for the current year.

ADMITTED MOTORCYCLES

Motorbikes complying with the Highway Code such as enduro, scooters, vintage motorbikes, weighing more than 150 kg. (minimum weight not applicable to vintage motorbikes and female riders). Tyres with tread blocks or suitable for off-road use and satellite navigator or mobile phone with GPX file reading programme are compulsory.

ROUTE

70% of the time on dirt and easy roads and 30% on paved scenic roads.
