The spirit of the event

The “Umbria Gran Tour – Way Point Trophy” is a two-stage “Adventouring” sports tourism event, which takes place on a route 70% of the time off-road and 30% on asphalt. With departure and base at the Borgo Campello relais, inside the castle of the same name, two days of adventure and navigation, along the most beautiful and least known roads and ancient sheep-tracks in the Umbria region. A daisy route of about 200 km per day; easy but very guided and fun, to discover one of the most beautiful regions of Italy. The event is organised in collaboration with the Moto Club Campello.

ADMITTED RIDERS

For both the “Adventouring” category and the “Way Point Trophy” category, all persons registered with an Italian motorbike club, in possession of the FMI Member card for the current year and in possession of a valid driving licence for the registered motorbike are admitted. A medical certificate of good health issued by a general practitioner is also required for the WPT category. For foreign riders, it is compulsory to be a member of an Italian motorbike club affiliated with the Italian Motorcycle Federation (FMI), to be in possession of the “Member" card together with a medical certificate of “good health to practice sports" in original, valid for the current year.

ADMITTED MOTORCYCLES

Motorbikes complying with the Highway Code such as enduro, scooters, vintage motorbikes, weighing more than 150 kg. (minimum weight not applicable to vintage motorbikes and female riders). Tyres with tread blocks or suitable for off-road use and satellite navigator or mobile phone with GPX file reading programme are compulsory.

ROUTE

70% of the time on dirt and easy roads and 30% on paved scenic roads.

CATEGORIES: ADVENTOURING AND WAY POINT TROPHY

Participants will be able to choose whether to participate as tourists following the GPX track in the “Adventouring” category, or to try their hand at more intriguing navigation and a touch of competitiveness by entering the “Way Point Trophy” category. “Way Point Trophy” is a new participation formula that rewards the orientation and navigation skills of the riders, without the time component.

The basic route is the same as in the “Adventouring” category, but differs at some points: the GPX track ends and for a stretch one must find one’s way to the Way Points, received together with the track, in the order indicated. After the last Way Point the track resumes until the following WP navigation section.

Pilots are equipped with a special logger which exactly records the route. Skipping WP’s carries penalties and the winner is the one who reaches all Way Points in the given order and makes the closest mileage. Super race and final prizes!!! Train of Metzeler tyres, Garmin watches and for the final classification at the end of the 3 rounds (Sardegna, Toscana, Umbria), the 2025 participation in the “Swank Rally in Tunisia”, the “Swank Rally di Sardegna” and the “Sardegna Gran Tour – Way Point Trophy”

For all riders

– Security transponder rental €. 50.00 to be paid in cash at scrutineering

– Transponder deposit: €.100,00 to be paid in cash on the day of scrutineering.

The deposit will be returned at the finish of the last leg, upon return of the transponder.

Cancellations and Refunds

By 27 september, the entry fee will be refunded with a 10% deduction.

After this date nothing will be refunded.

AFFILIATED HOTEL

If you wish to book at the hotel where the organization will be based and the stage checks, departures and arrivals will take place, you must book independently using a discounted rate, communicating the code "Umbria Gran Tour", valid while rooms are available.
