The spirit of the event
Sardinia Big Tour is a motorbike tourist sport event of the “Adventouring" type. It takes place in 4 or 7 stages, through enchanting places and breathtaking scenery between sea and mountains, starting from Milan and Rome and 2 types of routes: road and mixed road and off-road tracks.
Routes – Bikes – Drivers admitted:
All persons, including passengers, who are members of an Italian motorbike club, in possession of an IMF membership card for the current year and with a valid driving licence for the registered motorbike are admitted.
TYPES OF ROUTE
70%* on dirt roads and 30%* on panoramic asphalt roads, reserved for On/Off motorbikes, enduro motorbikes, scooters, vintage motorbikes (registered before 31/12/1999), weighing over 150 kg. (minimum weight not applicable to vintage motorbikes and female riders).
*The percentages are calculated in time and not in distance.
For participants in the “on/off" category, tyres with tread blocks and a satellite navigation system or mobile phone with a GPX file reading programme, are required.
100% on asphalted roads, practicable also by rider with passenger, open to motorbikes, scooters and vintage motorbikes (registered before 31/12/1999), weighing more than 150 kg (minimum weight not applicable to vintage motorbikes and female riders).
The asphalt tracks will be common to both categories, with participants meeting halfway through the stage for a refreshment with typical products.
Saturday 29 May
At 08/10 – Milan and Rome – Registration and bike checks. 10 am departure
1st stage from Milan and Rome to Livorno Km 370 approx. – Embarkation for Sardinia (Olbia).
Sunday 30 May
2nd stage: Olbia – Arborea Km 320 approx.
Monday 31 May
3rd stage: Arborea – Arborea Km 220 approx.
Tuesday 1 June
4th stage: Arborea – Olbia Km 300 approx.
Boarding from Olbia to Livorno.
Wednesday 2 June
5th stage: Olbia rest day at the sea and short guided tour in the evening.
Thursday 3 June
6th stage: Olbia – Castelsardo Km 280 approx.
Friday 4 June
7th stage: Castelsardo – Olbia
Km 300 approx. – Boarding from Olbia to Livorno
INFO & COSTS
Entries are open from 01 January.
The entry fee includes
Ferry for bike and rider, round trip Livorno - Golfo Aranci (Olbia), with accommodation in a shared double cabin
2 nights (Classic) 5 night (Long) in a 4 star hotel, with ½ board (dinner and breakfast) in a shared room
4 (Classic) 7 (Long) refreshments in the middle of the stages
Luggage transport from the start of the stage to the finish of the stage (1 package max. cm. 80 X 40 X 60
Organizer's third party liability insurance
Official race stickers
Recovery service for damaged vehicles along the route, both on and off-road, up to the finish of the stage
Medical assistance along the route and at the start and finish points

Anything not mentioned above
Any cancellations and requests for refunds must be sent by certified or registered mail.
By 30 April the entry fee will be refunded, with a 10% deduction.
By 15 May 30% of the registration fee will be withheld.
No refunds will be made after that date.
If the event cannot take place or its date is changed due to the COVID 19 emergency, the amount
of the registration fee paid will be refunded in full.
